有人問及，怎樣拍才是最好的照片？其實，您認為對您最重要的照片，就是最好的照片。
慧延法師是一位出家人，並不想只成為攝影師。在佛光山開山宗長星雲大師的栽培下，學習了十五年的攝影，深知攝影是一門深奧的技術。但是，最重要的是，其所拍出來的照片，要能為常住所用，為信徒所接受，要能為佛光山留下歷史記錄，這才是最好的相片。這次於佛光緣美術館展出的作品，其歷史價值超過攝影技術。
無論是對大師的敬仰、供奉三寶、或則是把煙火相片當作裝飾，希望這次展覧能為您帶來莊嚴與歡喜，更期望觀賞者
看到大師時，能更堅定信心，從大師的身行言教中，獲得啟發。
看到佛館時，能猶如身在佛國淨土。見到佛光山時，能更發心護持三寶，回到法身慧命的家。
看到各種活動照片時，心內的喜悅，猶如煙火的燦爛美麗。

The Beauty of Buddha’s Light Venerable Huei Yan Photography World Traveling Exhibition
It has been asked, how can one shoot the best photograph?
Honestly, the best photograph is the one you think the most important.
Venerable Huei Yan is a Buddhist monk. It is not my intention to become a photographer. Fo Guang Shan Venerable Master Hsing Yun has cultivated my photography talent. Shooting for fifteen years, I do realize that photography is a sophisticated technology. However, the most important thing is that the photographs are useful in the Temple and acceptable by the devotees, in the meanwhile preserving the historic record for Fo Guang Shan.
The historic value of the photographs, which showed at the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Hong Kong, far exceeds the photographic techniques.
Whether you come for the admiration to Venerable Master Hsing Yun, honoring the Triple Gems or simply using the fireworks photos as decorations, I sincerely hope these photographs will bring you joy and solemn; especially to strengthen your faith when viewing the photographs of Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
I hope that you feel being at Pureland when viewing the photographs of The Buddha Memorial Center,

藝術家介紹
慧延法師，台灣彰化縣人，俗姓黃。一九九五年禮星雲大師披剃出家，一九九六年十月於佛光山受具足戒，一九九七年佛光山叢林學院畢業。
法師曾擔任佛光山資訊中心副主任，規劃全山光纖及全球資訊網、護生組園長十年，照顧本山動物，並成立菇寮栽培各種菇類供應全山。現任都監院攝影組。並曾參與大師著作《雲水三千》、《百年佛緣》、《貧僧有話要說》等圖片編輯。
About Venerable Huei Yan
Venerable Huei Yan was born in Changhua, Taiwan, surnamed Wang.
He was tonsured by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1995 and received full ordination in October of 1996. In 1997, he was graduated from FGS Tsunglin College.
While Venerable Huei Yan taking the position of Associate Director of FGS Information System Center, he organized the installation of the fiber optic network for the entire FGS and established the worldwide FGS web systems.
During the 10 years as the Director of the Animal Care Unit, he took care of all animals at FGS. He also developed mushroom plantation hut to supply many varieties of mushrooms to FGS.
Currently, he is in charge the photographic team under the Executive Council. He has also participated the photo editing in Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s various publications.
